Blotchy Red Face – Could it Be the Common Cause Called Rosacea?

If you’re suffering from a blotchy red face, you need to seriously consider that you have a skin condition called rosacea. Rosacea is a chronic condition that involves frequent red flareups of the face that is not typical acne. This condition can be hard to deal with at times and can cause emotional issues with those who cannot find relief. It’s important to talk to your doctor to get a true diagnosis.

Though there may be other reasons, rosacea is the most common skin condition (other than typical acne) that causes the face to become blotchy red. If you know that yours is not acne and it’s not a rash, per se, then it’s highly likely that you have rosacea. This is not a condition that you caught somewhere, like a cold. You simply developed this over the years and it has finally developed to the point where it now makes itself known through embarrassing red blotches on your face.

To deal with rosacea, you need to first realize that this is an internal issue that has to do with your liver. If you can successfully detoxify your liver, you will see a drastic reduction in the occurrence of your blotchy red face. Also, if you need immediate relief, you need to use an all natural rosacea skin care product. Products which contain steroids or other such chemicals may work on some, but this approach only introduces more toxins into the blood and liver. It’s best to avoid these and use an all natural product to treat your condition. The most important thing to know at this point is that you are not alone. There are many who have been where you are and have treated their rosacea successfully.

Josh Darity writes about various topics. He maintains a blog about his girlfriend’s experience with Rosacea and its treatment options. There are so many options on the market today, it’s hard to know what works. It’s also difficult to know what particular approach to take since the condition is so dependent on each person’s individual chemistry. To this end, Josh has devoted himself to helping others, since he knows firsthand how this condition can hinder a person emotionally. Treating Rosacea Naturally

If rosacea has been a long-term problem for you, I strongly recommend that you invest some time with a physician with special expertise in the condition so that your unique symptoms can be properly diagnosed. Reputable physicians will insist on making a diagnosis before they treat you, but multiple repeat visits are usually not required. In the meantime, here are some safe, effective, and inexpensive treatments you can do on your own.

The healing foods for rosacea are the “three B’s,” blackberries, blueberries, and buckwheat. Cherries, raspberries, and other dark-blue or dark-red fruits are also helpful. Avoid alcohol, caffeine, sodas, and any other beverage that makes you flush.

The “three B’s” plus cherries and raspberries are especially rich sources of anthocyanidins and proanthocyanidins, the pigments that give them their blue and red colors. Anthocyanidins and proanthocyanidins increase the integrity of the ground substance, the “cement” between blood vessels and soft tissues. They prevent the vasodilation, which causes facial flushes. They also maintain vascular health by increasing the integrity of the walls of capillaries and arterioles. This reduces the risk of rhinophyma, enlarged nose and puffy cheeks.

The bioflavonoid prominent in buckwheat, rutin, is especially useful in preventing facial flushes. In one clinical study, buckwheat tea standardized to yield 270 mg of rutin was given to 77 patients with varicose veins. In this condition blood vessels break down in a manner similar to that in rosacea. After 3 months, most patients showed a significant reduction in the total volume of the leg, indicating that both the veins had tightened. “Tighter” veins in the face and nose are less prone to redness and less sensitive to changes in temperature.

If you take rutin, take at least 100 mg of vitamin C every day. Rutin helps vitamin C regenerate itself by protecting it from oxidation, but it also slows the rate at which vitamin C is absorbed by cells. If you take rutin, you need to stay a little ahead of your body’s vitamin C requirements. Rutin will interfere with action of quinolone antibiotics (not to be confused with the anabolic steroid quinolone). The long list of antibiotics that may interact with rutin includes Cipro, Norxacin, Orixacin, Oroflox, Penetrex, Raxar, Tequin, Uriflox, and Zagam.

Many naturopaths recommend vitamin B supplements to their patients with rosacea on the basis of a very old study that found that, at least in lab rats, the mite Demodex folliculorum only infects riboflavin-deficient skin. Complete vitamin B supplements provide riboflavin balanced with other B vitamins.

It is especially important not to overdose, since one of the B vitamins, niacin, can actually cause skin outbreaks similar to rosacea when taken in a dosage exceeding 3000 mg per day. This dosage, however, corresponds to taking more than 30 times the recommended amount of vitamin B complex. And it is not possible to get this amount of needed vitamin B from whole foods.

Acne and rosacea are very common medical problems, but are extremely frustrating and embarrassing to live with on a daily basis. In this article you are going to learn one of the best acne rosacea treatments that will help get your skin clear as quickly as possible. If you are sick of trying expensive and potentially harmful store-bought creams, potions and pills, then keep reading to learn about an all natural acne and rosacea treatment system you can use.

One of the greatest tools in your acne combating arsenal is apple cider vinegar. Whilst some people see this as a bit of an old wives tale, it is genuinely effective at treating acne, reducing the symptoms of rosacea, and generally improving your complexion. Also, it is dirt chip to purchase- for around $10 you can easily get yourself a years supply. It is completely natural as well, there are absolutely no harmful chemicals contained within it.

You can get apple cider vinegar for your acne, rosacea treatments from your local supermarket or health food store. Ideally you should purchase organic apple cider vinegar, as this has more of the vital nutrients contained within, but it will be slightly more expensive.

Apply the apple cider vinegar twice daily as a toner on your skin (after you cleanse and before you moisturize) However, you should not apply 100% apple cider vinegar as it will likely over-dry your skin as it is quite acidic after all. Instead, use around 1 part A.C.V to 2 parts mineral water; you could also try using rosewater in place of mineral water as this will help leave your skin very smooth.

Put the mixture in a spray/pump bottle, and shake it well before use. After a couple of weeks, you should notice a visible reduction in acne, red marks, and rosacea. A.C.V has been one of the most effective natural acne and rosacea treatments for thousands of people worldwide. If you find that your skin gets irritated you can reduce the quantity of apple cider vinegar in your toner. Also, you should not use any other topical products with drying properties such as benzoyl peroxide etc.
