Get rid of acne naturally with items as close at hand as your kitchen. What is acne exactly? Acne is a term for the red sore like bumps that can occur anywhere on the body but most commonly on the face, chest, neck, back, shoulders and even buttocks.

Acne is formed when excess sebum (oil) clogs the skins pores resulting in a buildup of bacteria. The bacteria feeds off the sebum causing infection which in turn causes the unsightly sores and rashes that most every person has been forced to endure at some point in their life.

Seeing a dermatologist or buying over the counter products for acne can be expensive. Some might even question the safety and efficacy of some acne treatments. You can get rid of acne naturally and safely with some of the following homemade remedies.

One of the simplest ways to prevent acne in the first place or keep it to a minimum is to drink plenty of water every day. Deceptively simple, many people do not get the recommended 7 to 8 (8 oz) servings of water a day that the skin needs to retain a good complexion. Water included in milk, juices, and caffeine free beverages can all contribute toward the 7 to 8 servings. Drink herbal water that consists of water boiled with fenugreek seeds and corn hair for even more effect.

A simple past made of baking soda and water can be applied to the effective area. Baking soda is a natural exfoliant. Lime or lemon juices also contain high citric levels and exfoliate the skin as well. Cooked oatmeal, cooled and applied to the skin will naturally draw out impurities and absorb excess oil. Aloe Vera has been used as a natural skin regimen for ages. It can get rid of acne naturally by healing the acne itself.

Quality of lifestyle including rest, stress levels, diet and exercise all play a huge role in how your skin looks. Like drinking water, these tips are deceptively simple but ignoring them will often result in unwanted eruptions on the skin. Aim for 8 hours of sleep a night.

Take vitamins and eliminate excess sugar and caffeine in your diet. Exercise is not just for the heart and muscles. Your skin is an organ and exercise plays a vital role in keeping it healthy. Your skin needs some down time just like the rest of you does. Engage in activities that buoy the spirits and relax the mind. Your skin will thank you for it.

Get rid of acne naturally and avoid harsh chemicals and expensive costs. The world has reached a point where it is trying to get back to nature and “go green”. Treat acne in a gentle and natural way and feel good about too.

Now listen carefully. I am about to share with you the top methods and techniques that have been proven over and over again to get rid of acne naturally. Acne treatment for black skin is generally similar to acne treatment for people of lighter tones, with the exception that more care needs to be put into choosing medicinal products for treatment. Here are some pointers for treating darker skin affected by acne:

Use a topical skin lightening product – Because people with darker skin produce more melanin, spots left after inflammation caused by acne tend to be much darker. Applying a topical skin lightening product can effectively diminish the dark spots over time.

Use sunscreen – Some scientists believe that exposure to sun can inhibit treatment of acne for people with black skin. Therefore, they recommend using sunscreen while your acne spots are being treated.

Avoid harsh benzoyl peroxide – Because this ingredient has significant drying effects, it is recommended that darker people avoid products that contain it. Benzoyl peroxide is also known to cause skin discoloration and irritation, both of which will be very visible with darker skin.

Wash with mild cleansers – Milk and yogurt are popular home remedies used in acne treatment for black skin. Either of the items can be used as a wash, as opposed to an over the counter product.

Use a toner – It is found that using a toner after cleansing is an effective acne treatment for black skin because it helps to restore the pH balance in the skin. Just remember not to use one without alcohol, which tends to dry out the skin.

Use vitamin E oil and cocoa butter – These are two other home remedies that help to ensure the skin does not experience too much discoloration.

People with darker skin can now experience relief from acne without worrying about the effects on their skin. This can be achieved by using products that are mild and won’t affect the skin tone.

Now I’m sure most of you at this point are scratching your head, trying to figure out what kind of loon I am. But the sad truth is, most people that talk about acne are either misinformed or they’re straight out lying.

For instance, acne has absolutely nothing to do with your skin. Sure, we’ve all seen the ugly picture of a pimple forming and we’ve all heard about things like oil, dead skin and bacteria causing breakouts. There’s one, very important thing that everyone seems to be overlooking, though.

Why do we have that oil, dead skin and bacteria in the first place?

In case of the bacteria, the P. Acnes bacteria is actually present on every single persons face in the entire world. Why doesn’t everyone have acne then? Or let’s take a look at oil. Why do some people have oily skin but no acne? Why do people get really oily skin in the first place? I hope your still paying attention because here’s a very important part of how to get clear skin the right way.

Excess oil on our skin, for acne sufferers anyways, can be directly attributed to the body’s response to excess sugar in our bloodstream. When we eat to much sugar, be it from junk food, simple carbs like white bread, or anything else, our body releases a massive dose of insulin to deal with the sugar. Insulin helps our body regulate the sugar and also prevents things like death, which I’m sure you’ll agree is a good thing. The bad news is that this sugar causes our oil glands to produce to much oil and our skin goes a bit haywire.

It get’s even worse. Because the dose of insulin was so large and so fast, our blood sugar levels drop to low to quickly. To deal with this, our body releases a massive dose of androgens to cause us to eat something. In simple terms, we get “the munchies.” You know what I’m talking about, that sudden urge to snack on something. These androgens not only cause the whole cycle to start over anew, but they cause our skin to release even more oil, leading to even more breakouts.

Over and over this cycle repeats itself through our lives. This is a huge key for how to get clear skin. By cleaning up our diets, we can prevent breakouts by preventing the body’s natural insulin/androgen response. This is a proven fact and has been used successfully to treat acne sufferers all across the world. Stop wasting money on external treatments that will always fail and treat yourself from the inside to get the lasting, clear skin you deserve.

Now that you know the key for how to get clear skin lies in treating the internal problems, you can finally begin taking care of really matters.

What is Acne Vulgaris?

Acne vulgaris affects more than 80% of us to varying degrees as some point in our lives. It is a condition that all would prefer to be without not only because of the physical pain and discomfort, but also the social and cosmetic complications it holds. But what exactly is acne and why do people get it? In this article we’ll have a look at the causes, symptoms and possible treatment options of acne.

Acne vulgaris is not exclusively limited to a particular group of people. The occurrence between blacks and whites are pretty equal. It affects females during puberty more than males and during adulthood males are affected more than females.

There are a few factors that contribute to cause acne to manifest. The first is what is called the hyperproliferisation of the follicle epithelium which causes the hair follicle to get plugged up. It is one of the first signs of acne and possible reasons for this happening may be the effect of androgen hormones, inflammation and a dilution of lipids (like linoleic acid) in the skin because of excess sebum production. Excess sebum production by sebaceous glands in the skin is another culprit. Androgen hormones in particular promote the production of sebum which makes the skin very oily. The next factor that contributes to the formation of acne is a bacteria call Propionibacterium acnes. The bacteria are present in the more advanced stages of acne and its presence cause inflammation which makes the acne lesions so swollen and red.

The areas of the body where acne lesions typically occur is the skin of the face, chest and upper back. There are different kinds of acne lesions and they can be described as follow:

• Closed comedones (whitish lump in the skin due to a clogged sebaceous gland).
• Open comedones (black tipped plugging of the pores of the skin).
• Papules (elevated and inflamed are of the skin without pus).
• Pustules (elevated and inflamed area of the skin containing pus).

The severity of the acne will be judged on the amount of lesions and the degree of inflammation in the comedos, papules and pustules.

From this one can infer what needs to be done to treat acne vulgaris. Skin needs to be cleaned to unblock pores, sebum secretion needs to be minimised and Propionibacterium acne needs to be eradicated. Consult with your pharmacist for an appropriate remedy for your acne. If your acne is too severe for over-the-counter medicines to treat, you will be referred to a doctor or specialist for something more potent.

Many natural home remedies for acne have been attempted and reported successful in specific cases. From herbal mixtures consumed to facial masks applied, different people have gotten good results from different methods. However, the most effective home remedy for acne continues to be keeping the face clean throughout the course of the day.

There are various activities involved in keeping the face clean. Each activity is integral in ensuring this home remedy for acne actually works. Here they are:

It is important to wash the face twice daily to keep it free from the effects of environmental bacteria. During our day to day movements, we are generally unaware of just how much of an effect the environment has on our skin. Washing twice daily will greatly minimize those potentially harmful effects.
Using over the counter clarifying lotions can contribute to keeping the face clean and fresh, hence limiting the effects of bacteria on the skin.
Make sure that your pillowcases and face towels are changed on a regular basis. These surfaces quickly accumulate bacteria, which if allowed to make contact with the face, can certainly cause acne to develop.
Whenever you complete your daily exercise routine, have a shower as soon as you have cooled off. This prevents excess oil and grease from settling into your pores and causing acne.
Most importantly, try to keep your hands away from your face. Our hands are exposed to a lot of bacteria, which can easily be transferred to the face. By keeping them away from the face, you cut down your chances of development or resurgence of acne.

The most effective home remedy for acne is simple, yet involves several steps that should be followed to guarantee effectiveness. Treating and preventing acne can be accomplished by simply adjusting your daily routines and focusing on “clean.”

The Many Uses of Light Therapy

You will probably be hearing a lot more about various forms of light therapy over the next few years as it steps more into mainstream medical use and becomes less known as sort of a “fringe” science as some look at it. You see, light can be incredibly healing, and also damaging, but the right types of light at the right concentrations can be therapeutic alternative ways to treat several disorders, including use as a cosmetic tool, as well as a tool for mood disorders.

Let’s talk first about the medical uses for light therapy, as they apply to a patient’s mental health. There is a well known documentation of a mood disorder called SAD, or Seasonal Affective Disorder, which coincides with the winter months where there is not much sunlight available and the days are shorter while the night time darkness is longer.

This results, for many, in a sort of cyclical depression in which they can’t seem to get out of a depressed and melancholy mood for those months, but once the spring and summer daylight hours change, their symptoms seem to get better.

Well, to simulate the daylight of spring and summer time, doctors created a treatment program for those affected with SAD where an LED light (Light Emitting Diode) box is used daily by the patient to simulate the lightness of day time, which is supposed to create a domino effect of dopamine and other chemical reactions in the body which help to elevate the mood.

And the best part is it’s natural, there are no drugs with all those side effects and there are no chemical dependencies set up for a person to need drugs for the rest of their life with this method of treatment. You’re essentially mimicking nature’s own natural mood booster, which is much more preferable than using chemicals to interfere with brain function to cause a similar effect.

This sort of light therapy has been known to help boost the mood, enhance your body’s circadian rhythm of sleeping and wakefulness at the proper times of day, and also to increase energy levels since mood and energy are closely related. A lot of patients see success with this type of light therapy to treat their seasonal mood differences. In fact, you don’t even have to be under a doctor’s care to get light therapy, as there are many different light therapy boxes that you can purchase for use in your own home.

Now, let’s talk about light therapy as it relates to cosmetic enhancement. That’s right, light therapy in different forms than it comes for mood enhancement can be incredibly healing, correcting and soothing to the skin and it is used for skin problems ranging from acne and rosacea to aging and wrinkles. As you can see, light therapy has quite a broad spectrum of uses, no pun intended.

Acne is one of the skin disorders that can be successfully treated using light therapy. There is somewhat of an argument over what spectrum of light therapy is best, red or blue, for acne, but the general consensus is that blue light is better for acne healing and bacteria targeting while red light is better used for aging skin and can target wrinkles, fine lines, and age spots more effectively.

There is even some argument that you should not mix the two (red and blue) because together they negate each other’s positive effects on the skin. The idea with these therapies is that the time spent under the red of blue concentrated light helps to heal the skin, and generally helps to increase collagen production, which makes the skin heal faster and look younger, firmer and more toned, while also helping to fade away acne and wrinkles by plumping up the skin.

IPL is a form of concentrated light therapy that is popular in the treatment against aging and wrinkling that is gaining momentum now in dermatologist’s offices and spas around the US.

It’s called Intense Pulsed Light therapy, and it uses intense, pulsated blasts of light that penetrate the skin’s epidermis and help increase collagen in a more dramatic fashion. This sort of therapy can be used in combination with others such as chemical peels and microdermabrasion since light therapy is noninvasive and actually should help speed the recovery of the skin after skin treatments.

Pulsed light therapies for the skin are becoming more and more popular as women and men opt for more natural skin care treatments that help them maintain their youthful looks without altering their faces, expressions, or symmetry as other procedures can do.

Herbal Pill, Act With Caution

Normally the spam mails one receives regularly in their mail boxes speak of herbal pills used for enlargement of the penis or ‘male enhancement’ or about the herbal breast enlargement pills for women. There are people who advertise pills for curing hair loss or bring about weight loss. They always offer a grand reduction, a substantial cut of the profits and entice you to buy their products.

This ‘herbal supplement’ industry began on the Internet around 2002, is still rapidly expanding, without question because it’s so profitable. Now expanding beyond the Internet, some of these companies also run ‘male enhancement’ ads on late-night cable TV and in the backs of otherwise respectable magazines.

They either buy or manufacture cheap generic pills containing random herbal mixtures and they market these pills to ‘cure’ any of an array of conditions. What’s common to all these pills? They all focus on human insecurities. There are even pills that claim to make short people magically grow taller.

These pills are sold at unbelievably high prices, something around $50 or thereabouts for a bottle of pills, which may have costed only two cents each, at most, to manufacture. As the profits are so huge, these companies are able to offer lucrative affiliate deals to online internet websites willing to advertise them.

Herbal Spamming, A Point to Ponder

Also very often these websites or unsolicited emails exaggerate your medical condition and try to scare you into buying one of their herbal pills. Ask any authentic medical doctor and they’ll tell you these herbal pills do absolutely nothing toward the conditions they’re marketed to treat. The secret of the success lies in the pills being marked as ‘herbal’.

Because a company can make any claim whatsoever about it, without doing any clinical trials and isn’t subjected to the restrictions that other prescription medications must strictly follow. And the marketers make their web sites, ads and commercials look exactly like those advertising legitimate prescription medications. It’s all a part of a big lie designed to fool you into shelling over your money. Remember:

1.Never ever buy any ‘herbal’ pills that claim to be miraculous as said above as it is targeted at a common human insecurity.

2.Report spam e-mails from these companies to SpamCop.

3.E-mail or call the cable channel/radio station that runs ads for these products telling that you will stop watching unless they stop advertising these fraudulent products.

Often when people begin to look at starting an Internet business, they get stuck on what they are going to market and who they will market to. Building your online business around the selling of information is the simple answer to these complex questions.

1. People surf for information
The simple fact is that most people go online looking for information. There are all kinds of people and they are looking for all kinds of information so that leaves plenty of room and opportunity for the new Internet entrepreneur to find a niche to carve out a business in. It is true that most people go to the Internet looking for free information and there is plenty available. That may sound like a negative but it is actually a positive.

2. There is so much information
The Internet is full of information and much of it can be had at no cost whatsoever. However, if you are looking for specific and detailed information on almost any topic, you could spend hours or longer searching and compiling that information in order for it to be usable. This is where your opportunity jumps out. If someone has a problem that they need an answer to, and you are there to offer that answer in a concise manner and in one single location, do you think they will pay for that convenience?

3. Simply offering information is not enough to build a business on. That information has to answer the needs of the people that you are targeting. For example, the may be reams of free information online about treating acne naturally. However, if you are targeting this market and have a true solution to this painful problem, then you have a very good chance of building a highly successful Internet business by marketing your solution.
