There are several different options for treating acne and one of the most popular methods is home remedies. They have been around for years and people like to use them as they are for the most part inexpensive and effective. Here is a list of some of the most common home remedies for acne treatment.
Crush up regular aspirins and add a bit of water to them to make a paste. Apply it to the affected area for 20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water, pat dry and then rinse with cold water and pat dry again.
Steep basil leaves for approximately 15 minutes. Let cool, strain and apply with a cotton ball.
Mix together water with baking soda until it becomes a paste, then apply to affected area.
Mix together 2 tablespoons toothpaste, 2 teaspoons of milk and 1/2 teaspoon of hot water. Apply this concoction to the affected area and let set for 15 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

Grind up an orange peel and add enough water to make a paste and rub this on your breakouts.
Applying ice to pimples before going to bed will take the redness and swelling down.
Mix up egg whites in a bowl, apply to face and leave on for 15 minutes before rinsing off.
Combine honey, lemon juice, cinnamon sugar and crushed up aspirin and apply.
